The Georgia State University College of Law and the J. Mack Robinson College of Business are currently collaborating for the educational benefit of corporations interested in maximizing the value of their intellectual property assets. One of the primary initiatives of this collaboration is the Corporate IP Institute.

The 2010 Corporate IP Institute is a 2-day event that will be held at the Georgia State University Student Center. This event provides a unique view into the world of intellectual property as it allows in-house IP professionals to discuss current issues facing in-house IP professionals. The CIPI provides in-house IP professionals the opportunity to hear common corporate issues and to network locally and nationally. Speakers from corporations, large and small, will be in attendance. All IP professionals are invited...in-house, law firm, and consultant professionals.

In addition, the Intellectual Property Owner's Association will deliver an enlightening discussion on recent developments that will impact in-house IP professionals. Come to the 2010 Corporate Intellectual Property Institute to exchange your ideas and business cards.

Previously, the 2008 Corporate IP Institute, took place on October 28rd & 29th, 2008 and also included an outstanding roster of corporate intellectual property leaders from outstanding companies.

The 2007 Corporate IP Institute, took place on October 23rd & 24th, 2007 and included an outstanding roster of corporate intellectual property leaders from such companies as AT&T, The Coca-Cola Company, General Electric, Cox Communications, Kimberly-Clark, Motorola, Procter & Gamble, IBM, Pitney Bowes, MeadWestvaco, Earthlink, Newell Rubbermaid, E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company, and Rock-Tenn, among others.

One of the other primary initiatives of this collaboration is the Corporate IP Roundtable, which provides a luncheon forum throughout the year for networking and discussing corporate intellectual property issues.
